Bees inside a cabinet!

Excuse me! Fasten your seatbelts, because this clip is jam-packed with excitement. Anyway, what’s up? A swarm of bees has taken up residence in an abandoned cabinet, which you will observe. The household had intended to discard it, but had not done so yet. What a mess!

Why is this such a problem? For the simple reason that these are not domesticated bees but feral ones. That means they’re not like the docile honeybees you might learn about in school; they’re completely wild and extremely aggressive. As evidence, a lawnmower was stung multiple times on the leg. Ouch! This hive of bees needs to “bee” exterminated immediately. Get it? No more “bee”? Sorry, I just had to make a pun there.

Then, what’s the big deal here? First of all, being stung is extremely unpleasant, especially if it happens more than once. That can cause a lot of pain, and in some cases could even be fatal. Second, wild bees can pose a significant threat. They aren’t confined to their nest but can forage and cause trouble far from home.

Continue watching the video. Our bee expert, dressed like a bee superhero, will enter the hive wearing a specially designed protective suit. They need to be very cautious if they want to capture the queen and all the bees. Leaving the queen behind is like abandoning the hive’s A-lister; you’ll still have to deal with the bees.

After the bees have been collected, they will be relocated to an area far from human habitation. And I promise you, we will fill in that cabinet opening to keep the bees out.

So, press play to see a wild bee being exterminated. An adventure in someone’s backyard, if you will. But if you ever find yourself in a similar situation, remember: don’t handle it on your own. Bees are dangerous, so it’s best to have the professionals take care of it. Have fun watching!
