You’re about to witness something amazing in the bee removal video. Under the palm of a palm tree, we discovered a colony of bees. They were definitely active in the area, and they clearly found it appealing. We had to relocate them, but you’ll be impressed by how gently we did it.
What’s the big deal, then, about bees? Obviously, they play a crucial role in the natural world. They aid flower development by dispersing pollen, and their honey is delicious. However, bees shouldn’t be kept in close proximity to humans because they pose a stinging danger. So we had to come up with a plan to relocate them in a way that would be both secure and respectful.
What we did was give them a light shake before placing them in a box. However, we didn’t just shake any old bee; first, we had to locate the queen. Why? Because bees have an acute sense of smell and are conditioned to always follow the scent of their queen. So, if you can corral the queen bee, the rest of the bees will happily enter the hive. It’s as if she’s the boss and they’re her devoted workers. Super cool, huh?
Once we had the queen and her worker bees safely inside the box, we didn’t abandon them. We had them looked at by an expert beekeeper. Beekeepers have extensive knowledge about the needs of bees and the best practices for keeping them healthy and happy. So, we made sure the bees got a new home where they can continue their vital work by leaving the box with a beekeeper.
I say, watch the clip of the bee removal already! We eventually gently relocate the bees. And if you ever come across bees that need to be relocated, keep in mind that it’s crucial to be gentle and kind to the bees and the people around you. It’s a win for both parties involved.
In this video I removed the bees from the palm tree and placed them in these boxes! Box #2 is crazy!
