Africanized bees, or so-called “killer bees,” are a big danger because they are very aggressive and react fast in defense. African bees come in swarms double or triple the size of a normal bee’s attacks. They can follow you for over 1000 feet. So it is important to run away in this case.
Upon sighting Africanized bees, the best reaction, ideally to run away or drive away. It’s wise to run quickly for cover and safety; Bees will follow you, but it is better if 10 bees make their way in your car, than the 3000 full swarm outside. Once inside, remain calm and drive to safety. Do not swat at the bees, for this will only provoke more of them. As you drive away, lower your windows and the bees will fly out. Cover your face and if possible quietly reach the nearest indoor area. This could kill even a normal person but a very allergic person so quick and calm initiation calls for survival.
